WHO ARE WE?

Longbourne Stud is a family owned, professionally run livery yard, offering full and part time livery services, set in the pretty hamlet of Epping Green, Hertfordshire. We have ten indoor American barn-style stables with automatic water feeders, two outdoor conventional stables and twelve acres of all-year-round excellent grazing. With only twelve stables available, Longbourne Stud has a peaceful and private atmosphere, where horses and owners alike have been able to enjoy its tranquillity for over thirty-five years, while its location provides excellent access to an enviable and varied local bridleway network.  

​The glories of Broxbourne Woods’ 239 hectare National Nature Reserve are conveniently located only a couple of miles away and Ponsbourne Park is just a mile down the road, to name but a few of the fabulous places to hack locally. For those who wish to concentrate on some schooling work, have a lesson from our on-site BHSAI qualified trainer or do some show jumping or dressage, Longbourne Stud has the advantage of a fantastic 30 x 60 metre floodlight, all-weather arena for the exclusive use of our liveries.

It is genuinely hard to believe that such a rural and peaceful part of the luscious Hertfordshire countryside can be so conveniently located with the M25 (Junction 23 & 24), the A1 (J4) and the A414 all no more than a 15 minute drive away, making the yard as easy to access as it is to travel to so many of the popular competition venues.
